Hello everyone!
Our registration period has come to a close. It's time to start!
We reached a total of 40 accepted registrations this year. First we will have a playoff round, if you lose you are out!
The match format for the 2024 RKWC is: 10 games of 3+2, and whilst both players can stop the match as soon as a decisive advantage (5.5 points) has been reached, it is also possible to fully complete the 10-game-series. If a match ends in 5-5, then pairs of two 3+2 games will be played until the score is unequal after an even number of games. In case the score reaches 8-8 the same procedure is repeated with the time format changing to 1+0.
As soon as you read this, please follow these steps:
- Contact your opponent and offer at least 3 match times over 2 days in UTC, see time.is/UTC if you don't know your timezone.
- If you agreed on a match time, please post the time in this thread. Otherwise message @QueenEatingDragon, @FS-Schach or @Natso.
- Play your match.
- Post the result, and a link to the first game in the match results thread: lichess.org/forum/team-racing-kings-wc/2024-rkwc-match-results). Otherwise message @@QueenEatingDragon, @FS-Schach or @Natso.
- Wait for your next pairing to be announced. When you lose this round you are out of the RKWC, after that if you lose TWO matches.
