About me
I am GM Peter Prohaszka 31 years old, from Hungary. I became Grandmaster at age 17. My peak FIDE rating was 2627 and with that I was in world top 150. My best results: I won the U14 European Championship. In 2022 I became Hungarian Champion. I am part of the Hungarian National Team.
Playing experience
I started to play chess at the age of 6. I played many international tournaments, in Europe, America and Asia. My dearest victory of these was Benasque 2018 in Spain. The strongest tournament I competed was in 2023 July, Hungary, in a super GM tournament, with a rating average of 2669 . So I played in pretty much every level, including the highest.
Teaching experience
Besides playing chess for 25 years, I have 10 years of coaching experience, and in the past 2 years it is my main profession. My students won gold in the U14 Girl Championship and Silver at the U16 Girl European Championship. I am the second of the Hungarian National Woman Team since 2021.
Other experiences
I graduated at Webster University in St. Louis, United States, with summa cum laude.
Best skills
I have a good feel for the pieces and strategy. I like endgames and generally play them pretty well. I have lot's of experiences teaching middlegame strategies and calculation.
Teaching methodology
I teach via zoom. I like to see how you think by analyzing your games. I also like to solve different exercises with you and see how you think, help you improve analyzing and suggest different ways for you to learn on your own.
