Hi! My name is Annmarie Mütsch, I am a 22 years old Woman International Master from Germany.
I have represented the German national team on various occasions like European Team Championships and other events.
Since 2024 I am representing Belgium and I am the #1 Belgian female chess player, as well as the current Belgian Women´s Champion.
I am still an active chess player, but I also work as a chess coach, commentator and author.
As for my own goals as a chess player: I am planning on being more active again. First I want to become WGM and then focus on getting to 2400 to obtain the IM title.

Teaching experience
I have been giving lessons for 3 years now and spent the last two years, first full-time and later part-time, working as a certified chess coach in Germany for the club "Schachzwerge Magdeburg". I teach both adults and kids and I´m also giving group lessons.
From time to time I give simuls and lectures for clubs, but my main focus is on the individual training.

Other experiences
I am currently studying Hotel Management and Culinary Arts in Bruges, so I spend a lot of my time cooking when I´m not playing chess :)
In 2022 I did the commentary for the Bundesliga finals. In 2023 I recorded my first video series for Chessable, on the Philidor Defense (one of my favorite openings). It can be found here: www.chessable.com/philidor-verteidigung/course/157306/

Teaching methodology
We will look at your games so I can understand your thought process and show you in which areas you can improve. I have my own material, but the lessons will always be tailored to your needs, whether that´s tactics, middlegame strategy, endgame knowledge or building an opening repertoire.
