How to get of depression medication and recover?

Please help, I'm becoming more reliant on medication and prone to crying fits but I can't live like this anymore!!
Perhaps meditation and exercise might help.
Inspirational poetry and stories of triumph may give you a more positive outlook.

Please be aware that abruptly ceasing medication ( as if you decided suddenly to stop taking your medication) can carry risks including including seizure, blood pressure problems and suicidal ideation Change of a medication program should be done under medical supervision.
Personally I do believe the use of medication should not be a first resort in and of itself but should be used in conjunction with counseling and the teaching of life skills and copeing mechanisms.
I assume you're adolescent and dealing with puberty ( forgive if I'm wrong) .Depression is not uncommon in girls at that stage of life and will likely lessen as your body becomes accustomed to the chemical and hormonal changes you are experiencing.
The greatest help may just be communicating with your parents, health professionals and particularly with other girls your age. Sometimes we just need someone to listen.
I applaud the fact that you want to be free of medication but as I mentioned proceed with caution and under supervision.
In conclusion I wish you well in your struggles with depression and to tell you I believe this will pass and you will have brighter days in the future and that happiness awaits you. :)
if you stop taking your medication suddenly, it might have bad side effects.i think you should talk abaut this with your parents ,there are special mehtods on cutting off medication once you started,The doctors know the procedure best. Please dont do any decisions abaut not taking the medication on your own.

It’s okay :) crying helps you to relax a bit.. do not bottle up your emotions

yeah, but what if I am in public - say, at school or at the park?
If you need to cry go ahead and cry and don't worry too much about what others may think. You'll probably find most people are kind and will try to help.
When I had bouts of depression I used to say a prayer to God to heal ,what I believed we're depressed lost souls that used to come and sit inside my body , so I just used to say dear God please heal this one that is sitting in me and they used to feel better and leave me alone. Hope this helps you and you start to feel the light returning xxx

Don't care about what others think. Crying helps to release bad feelings from our mind. And don't stop taking your medications, it might not work fast but if you stop it then there are high chances of side effects. Listen to what your therapist and your parents say. Hopefully someday you will find a day when you will have no depression and only have positive feelings. God will stay by your side!
