Join Candidate Master McLean Handjaba on his journey to an IM title while you better your chess.

Fun, banter, and good conversations are the name of the game here. You should expect a lot as the CM is a Lawyer and Chess Coach by profession, having represented the Namibian national team at the 2012, 2014, and 2018 Olympiads.

The CM has been a chess coach for over 10 years and an expert in the endgame and positional play. He will very much love to help you become a better chess player. You will be paying $15 per hour for chess lessons with the CM.

The CM has represented Namibia at the Chess Olympiad in Georgia (2018), Norway (2014) and in Turkey (2012). He gained my Candidate Master title in 2014 and has won several local tournaments and online international tournaments.

Having started chess in January 2012, the CM became the founding member of Namibia's most vibrant and dynamic chess academy (#RubinsteinChessAcademy) in 2014.

Endgames, Positional Play and individualized opening repertoires.

We start with the fundamental endgame studies and move our way back to the openings. Puzzles and practical analysis of student games together with instructive games of the masters such as Jose Raul Capablanca, Akiba Rubinstein and Mikhail Tal are all a big part of our lesson plans.
