About me

Welcome to my page! This is IM Kushager Krishnater, a professional chess trainer from India. I've been training students of all levels of chess for the past 3 years, helping beginners grow and training Super Grandmasters like Arjun Erigaisi & Vidit Gujarathi.

Discussing chess with players of all levels has given me a great understanding of how to best train for different levels of play. As a coach, I help my students nurture their natural style of play (whether it's attacking or positional) while also improving their weak spots.

Chess improvement is a highly personal journey, and I'm here to provide a personalized plan for each of my students. I'm experienced in working with all kinds of players, whether it's a 30-year-old looking to just enjoy chess, an ambitious young kid, or a top GM.

If you'd like to learn from me, please email me at kushagerkrishnater@gmail.com and let's get started!

Best skills

I specialize in helping chess players identify and overcome their psychological blocks, enabling them to make drastic improvements in their game. By conducting a thorough analysis of my students’ play, I am able to create a tailored training plan to target the areas that need the most work. From positional play to calculating tactics to opening and endgame strategy, I cover all aspects of chess to help my students reach their potential.

Teaching methodology

For non-opening sessions, I will focus on improving a strategic skill (such as prophylaxis, calculation, or introducing various strategic concepts) based on the student's weaknesses. I have a library of material for every strategic theme to ensure the session is productive. I am also available for support outside of the session, including tournament preparation and general discussions. If needed, I am also open to working on specific problems.
