Now this topic can be a little confusing. Only playing chess doesn't improve you, some of you might gone like from 1600 to 1750 or 1300 to 1400 but after some time your 1750 can become 1600 again and your 1400 can become 1300 again and some of yo stop playing blitz let's say after gaining 150 points but after you come back you are going to loose points. So you should not just play chess but you should analyse them too. Learn your mistakes see what can you do instead of it. I prefer chess.com for that(I am not advertising chess.com). So you can still use lichess don't understand me wrong. Let's say you started doing it and you earned a few points and that's not enough for you? Then do a lot of puzzles like puzzle storm for understanding possitions more quickly, ouzzle racer for testing yourself and more... The let's say you got more points and if you want even more do it more analyse masters classical games, play 15+10 rapid games and do more puzzles.
